How to choose plastic mold steel?
Plastic mold steel is more and more widely used in industry. With the increase in demand for plastic products and the expansion of application fields, the development of plastic mold steel has also been promoted.
In the forming mold of plastic mold parts, the quality requirements such as the type of plastic to be pressed, the batch of production, the complexity of the workpiece, the dimensional accuracy and the surface roughness are the main factors for determining the steel.
According to different requirements, there are different requirements for wear resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance, pressure resistance, magnetic properties, micro-deformation and mirror polishing properties of plastic mold steel.
-When the production batch is small, there are no special requirements for dimensional accuracy and surface roughness, and the mold section is not large, 2311 mold steel and P20 mold steel are generally used.
-When the production batch is large, the mold size is large or the workpiece is complex in shape and high in precision, generally P20H mold steel, 738H mold steel, and 718H mold steel are used;
-Wear-resistant plastic mold steel, in order to produce reinforced engineering plastic products (such as fiber-reinforced thermoplastic engineering plastic products), thermosetting plastic extrusion molding molds, using mold steel with good wear resistance.
-When the production volume is large, H13 die steel, Cr12MoV die steel and D2 die steel are selected, which are used after quenching and tempering. In order to improve wear resistance, surface treatment can be carried out.
-Corrosion-resistant plastic mold steel is used to produce polyvinyl chloride, fluorinated plastics, and flame-retardant plastic molds with flame retardants added. Since the mold is in contact with corrosive media during the pressing process, plastic mold steel with good corrosion should be selected; such as 4Cr13 mold Steel, 2Cr13 die steel, 3Cr13 die steel, 2083 die steel, S136 die steel, used after quenching and tempering.
-Commonly used mirror die steels are: 2083 mold steel (polishing 5000#), NAK80 mould steel (polishing 7000#), domestic S136 mold steel (polishing 10000#), imported S-STAR mould steel (polishing 12000#), Imported S136 mold steel (polishing 15000#).

You can come to us by flight, bus and bullet train. It's 1.5 hours by flight from Guangzhou to our city. 3 hours by bullet train from Shanghai to our city. 1 hour by bullet train from Ningbo to us.
